Meet The Herd
Our horses serve as therapists and partners in our work to empower human healing and facilitate wellbeing and resilience. Unlike predators (humans, dogs and cats), horses are prey animals, thus they must be very sensitive to their environments to avoid being eaten. This heightened sensitivity to the environment (including any nearby humans) facilitates the ability of horses to be very aware of human emotional states and provide gentle and nonjudgmental feedback. Further, as herd animals, horses have the capacity to develop deep and enduring bonds with humans, which can facilitate human healing.

Wildfire is 13 years young and has done a variety of jobs throughout his lifetime. He loves attention and will let you groom him all day long.
